Competence Centers

Competence centers represent cooperation networks between the scientific and business communities. The competence center programs Kplus and K_ind/K_net (starting in 1998) initiated by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency FFG and the successor program COMET (as of 2008) primarily serve to promote cooperation among partners in the scientific and business communities as the basis for jointly implementing research projects. Competence centers in Vienna are co-financed by ZIT.
