It is our job to construct and operate high value, multi-functional technology-oriented commercial properties in order to support the crucial linkage of different players impacting the innovation process. In addition to making a technologically top-notch infrastructure available, we aim to develop business locations in which companies, scientific institutions and educational facilities can come into direct contact with each other as a means of facilitating cooperative partnerships.
Goals
- Supporting the Vienna innovation system
- Stimulating innovative urban development from a technological point of view
- Initiating real estate projects in technological fields of importance to the City of Vienna
- Realization of technological real estate with the participation of private partners
- Providing comprehensive services to the occupants of the individual properties above and beyond the construction of individual real estate projects
Public Private Partnership – PPP
We generally apply the Public Private Partnership approach in the construction and operation of technology-oriented real estate. By incorporating private partners, we can optimally tailor our services to the specific market conditions and minimize public sector risk and the use of tax funds.
Real estate projects of ZIT
The focus of ZIT’s real estate activities in recent years has been on the Sankt Marx site in Vienna’s third district. For many years, this quarter has been emerging as one of the city’s most important technology and business hubs. It all began on a small scale at the turn of the century. In the meantime, the Sankt Marx project is a success story in its own right.
Media Quarter Marx (MQM)
Vienna’s new business location for media and creative industries.
The Media Quarter Marx (MQM) encompasses a space of 40,000 m², the largest media center in the country. State-of-the-art offices and high-performance film and TV studios are available for media representatives. The aim is to have creative minds and service providers in different fields meeting together in MQM and exploiting valuable synergies.
